About the Journal

Spatial Omics and Translational Research (SpOTR) is an international, peer‑reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high‑impact advances at the interface of spatial omics technologies and translational research. The journal aims to accelerate the conversion of fundamental biological discoveries into meaningful clinical applications by bridging bioinformatics, molecular biology, systems biology, and medicine.

SpOTR welcomes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and methodological papers that focus on the generation, analysis, and interpretation of high‑resolution spatial omics data, including but not limited to spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and multi‑omics integration. Particular emphasis is placed on studies that use these approaches to elucidate disease mechanisms, identify novel biomarkers, develop diagnostic tools, and inform or optimize therapeutic strategies.

As an interdisciplinary platform, SpOTR actively promotes the integration of dry‑lab (computational biology, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science) and wet‑lab (experimental molecular and cell biology, tissue and animal models, clinical samples) approaches. Our goal is to foster knowledge exchange among basic scientists, computational researchers, clinicians, and industry partners working in the rapidly evolving field of spatial omics.

All submissions to SpOTR undergo rigorous peer review by experts in the field to ensure scientific validity, originality, and translational impact. We invite researchers from around the world to contribute their most innovative work and to help shape the future of spatial omics and translational research.
